On April 1st, China Consumers Daily officially implemented the recommended national standard GB/T 30307-2023 "Household and Similar Use Drinking Water Treatment Devices". In order to better promote the implementation and popularization of the new national standard, the first batch of products that have passed GB/T 30307-2023 testing, sponsored by the "Light Industry Standards and Quality" magazine and supported by the China Household Appliance Research Institute, Jiahe (Zhejiang) Inspection and Testing Co., Ltd., and China Light Industry Health Home Inspection and Testing Center, were held in Beijing.

The recommended national standard GB/T 30307-2023 "Household and Similar Use Drinking Water Treatment Equipment" was released on September 7, 2023 and officially implemented on April 1, 2024. The standard innovatively classifies water purifiers according to core water treatment technologies. According to the water treatment process, water purifiers are divided into purified water processors, general water quality processors, and mineralized water processors. The core water treatment technologies included in the purified water processor include filtration (reverse osmosis membrane, nanofiltration membrane) and electrodialysis; The core water treatment technologies for general water quality filters include filtration (ultrafiltration membrane), adsorption (activated carbon), ion exchange (ion exchange resin), and electrodialysis (electrodialysis); The core water treatment technology of mineralized water processors mainly includes mineralized materials. At the meeting, experts stated that consumers can choose the water purifier they need based on the core water treatment technology of the water purifier combined with the water quality indicators they need to treat, and it is not necessarily better to have more filter elements.
